18. Leg 5 - SW Coastal Path 18: Port Quin to Port Isaac circular
24 October 2018
We just had a couple of hours on our final day for a shorter circular walk to Port Isaac. We parked in the National Trust car park at Port Quin early enough to get a space. It was full by the time we returned! Port Quin is a natural harbour. This little village is also referred to as ‘the village that died’ due to the disappearance of all of the men of the village sometime in the 19th century. It is thought that they all drowned at sea whilst fishing, forcing the women to abandon their homes.
We didn't have long to enjoy Port Isaac but will be back to complete the section from Port Isaac to Trebarwith.
