7. Leg 2 16 August 2017 - SW Coastal Path 7: Ilfracombe to Combe Martin circular

The last stretch on this, the 2nd leg of SW Coastal Path. Watermouth Cove looks exotic from above! Lunch in Combe Martin and back inland through pretty Devonshire villages (Berrynarbor) and countryside. 

 6. Leg 2 15 August 2017 - SW Coastal Path 6: Ilfracombe to Woolacombe circular

We covered a lot of ground in this walk! Lee is a pretty bay; we paused to watch the seals basking in the sun. Morte Point is a stunning headland of jagged rocks, historically notorious for smugglers and shipwrecks. By the time we reached Woolacombe we could just about manage to stagger to the nearest pasty shop and grab a cool drink before resting our weary feet overlooking the bay. The walk back was less picturesque but a welcome stretch of flat pathways on the whole! 

5. Leg 2 14 August 2017 - SW Coastal Path 5: Martinhoe to Lynton circular

Stunning and varied scenery between Martinhoe and Lynton including The Valley of Rocks at Lynton. We often hear but can't always see a very persistent skylark! We aren't so adept at identifying other brown birds yet! 

 4. Leg 2 13 August 2017 - SW Coastal Path 4: Combe Martin circular

We camped at Ilfracombe for our summer walking trip. Lovely heather, gorse, ferns, sea air! We walked as far as Heddon's Mouth before returning on inland paths.
